The Department of Unnatural Registration and Processing of Shifters (aka DURPS) is a government facility. In the San Francisco Bay Area, it is located at the Marin Civic Center.

Employees[]

Staffing[]

Typical staffing in the DURPS office:

Legislation[]

  • Domesticated mates: a couple (or more) cohabiting on record when one of them is a shifter.
  • Uncommon Law: when a mating becomes officially recognized as legal by the government after shifter cohabitation of a prescribed amount of time or bite marking. If unavailable in your state (like California) or country then matings must be officially registered as domesticated mates or married spouses (under human laws). Alphas (or alpha level shifters) with mates are more welcome in most civilian areas.

Trivia[]

  • DURPS uses tiny flowers to communicate wirelessly with their staff. The flowers drape over the employee’s ears and are called ear buds.

Quotes[]

  • “DURPS is worse than the DMV.” (The Sumage Solution, Chapter One)
  • “A picture of the iconic building with its circular windows, salmon archways, and round blue roof popped up.” (The Sumage Solution, Chapter One)
